About Me

During my 25 years in the classroom, I was an author, publisher, and workshop leader in elementary science education in Canada, Australia, and the United States (acquiring a gray hair for every student I taught). I created my own business for the development of elementary education materials and worked as a writer, editor, and consultant with several educational programs. A little claim to fame came when I was elected president of the British Columbia Science Teachers’ Association, and I was also once the Science Teacher of the Year (cover girl) for Boreal Science Supply Catalogue. As a result, I had coffee stains on my face in every high school in Canada.

I have visited:
All 50 states in the USA, and Puerto Rico
All 10 provinces in Canada, and the Yukon Territory
Mexico
Costa Rica, Panama, Belize
The Dominican Republic, The US Virgin Islands, St. Marteen/St. Martin, Lucia, The Bahamas, Barbados
China, Tibet, Hong Kong, Bankok, Singapore
Australia
England, Scotland, Ireland, Wales
Iceland, Greenland
France, Spain, Italy, Germany, Austria, Greece, Turkey
